      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Lightly spray and line 2 small loaf tins with baking paper.
  2. TM: 115g butter, cubed, 160g sugar, 290g golden syrup, 250g milk, 2 tsp baking soda, 5 mins / 70°C / slowly up to speed 3.
  3. Add: 280g flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp ginger, 1 tsp mixed spice, 5 sec / speed 5.
  4. Scrape bowl, 5 sec / speed 4.
  5. Pour mixture into prepared tins. Bake 160°C x 35-40 mins till cooked.
  6. Cool on wire rack, and cover with tea towel.
