For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Pre-heat your oven to 190-200 degrees celcius.
- Chop dates - I do this by hand so I can see if there are any pits in them. I like to do a large handful.
- Add flour to mixing bowl
- Add dates to mixing bowl
- Add cream to mixing bowl
- Mix "Blend" for 3 seconds, speed 5 on reverse "Counter-clockwise operation"
- Knead "Dough mode" for 20-30 seconds until dough comes together
- On a floured surface, gently roll out and cut into portions
- Bake in oven for approx 12 minutes
