Made a trial batch of buttercream. I had normal sugar and milled it at 20 seconds, speed 10 to get it to icing consistency. The batch turned out almost perfect in consistency BUT I could taste the gritty sugar particles still. What should I do to make it perfect?! Help please!

    Submitted by kate.lanham on 22. February 2017 - 20:21.

Ok peeps I've tried this twice today and it failed both times. I've never had a thermomix recipe fail so I am very confused!!! It was too runny both times no matter how long or how I fast I mixed it for. I did use Coles brand regular spread which I think might be margarine - could that be my fatal error? It wasn't a particularly hot afternoon either but the spread was quite soft. Please help as I was practicing today for my daughters birthday cake I am making on Saturday and I need a safe buttercream recipe!!!
