  • 1 carrot
  • 220 g water
  • 220 g Milk
  • 170 g Steel Cut Oats
  • 20 g coconut flakes
  • pinch sea salt
  • pinch ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 30-40 sultanas, (optional)
  • 40 g walnuts, (optional)

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. 1. Chop carrots for 2-3 secs on spd 5. Set aside.

    2. Add water and milk. Boil for 5 mins on varoma, speed 2.

    3. Add all ingredients to the TM Bowl except for sultanas and walnuts. Cook on Reverse, 100C, speed 1.5 for 35 mins. The MC must be off. You can place the basket on top if you prefer.

    4. If using sultanas and walnuts, add to the mixture when its finish and mix on Reverse, speed 3 for 5-10 secs to blend.

Tip

This can be frozed as well and microwaved for another day.

    Added an apple with the carrot. Served the walnuts on top, instead of adding before serving. Also served with strained yoghurt and it was delicious. Needed more liquid to look like photo but we liked it quite thick tmrc_emoticons.)

    Delicious recipe! Only think I'd warn people of is putting the milk and water on "varoma temp" for 5mins. Mine started to boil out of the top after about 3mins. Was really glad I was standing next to it.Also I soaked the oats in the water overnight so it only took 15mins to cook.I put the sultanas in to be cooked as well as I like them plump tmrc_emoticons.)
