Nut Granola

Ingredients

1200 g

Nuts/seeds

  • 2 portions raw alomnds
  • 1 portion sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 portion pepitas
  • 1/2 portion Coconut, shredded or flakes
  • 1-2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • pinch fine Himalayan salt

Coating

  • 120 grams raw honey/maple syrup/rice malt syrup
  • 100 grams coconut oil/ghee/butter

Optional additions

  • sultanas, gogi berries, dates, banana chips, cacao nibs, inca berries

Recipe's preparation

    Granola
  1. Pre heat oven to 180 degrees.  Line a baking tray with baking paper and set aside

    Add all ingredients to bowl and Closed lid turbo 3-4 times 0.5 or 1 sec you want nuts and seeds broken not milled.

    Set aside in a large bowl

  2. add oil and sweetener to bowl and melt 1 minutes/80/speed 3

    Add seeds and nuts into bowl and stir on Counter-clockwise operation/5 secs/speed 2

    Pour mixture onto your baking tray and level out.  Bake in over for 10-15 minutes.  Keep a close watch and turn your mixture regularly as it will burn quickly.

    Remove from oven when ready and allow to cool slight before adding your additions of choice.

    Store in a air tight container

    serve with milk of choice or yoghurt

Tip

to make a Vegan option use coconut oil and rice malt or maple syrup

Great sprinkled over stewed fruit

I used cups measures as my portions for this to make the 1200gm.  If you use lesser portions for the Granola, reduce the amount of sweetener and oil used.
