Pumpkin Puree (with seeds and skin) for Dogs

Variation Basic Pumpkin Puree

  • 1 litre water, (room temperature)
  • 1 small piece pumpkin, (skin on)

Recipe's preparation

    Cooking
  1. Place water in Mixing Bowl. Wash pumpkin thoroughly, cut off any hard ends, and spoon out flesh and seeds onto Varoma Dish. Cut into 25cm (1") cubes and place on Varoma Dish.
  2. Cook 25 minutes / Varoma / speed 2.
  3. Carefully remove Varoma Lid and place upside down on kitchen bench. Remove Varoma Dish holdign pumpkin and place on the Varoma Lid.
  4. Pour water out of mixing bowl. Add flesh and seeds into mixing bowl and blitz 5 sec / speed 9. Repeat until pureed.
  5. Add cooked pumpkin pieces into mixing bowl. Blend 20 sec / speed 5.
  6. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl and blend 60 sec / speed 10.
  7. Pour into a clean bowl and allow to cool, cover, and place in refrigerator.

Tip

Estimate daily usage for your pet. Place 3 days' supply into a container and freeze.

Defrost and use, but don't allow to exceed three days to avoid naties creepign in.
