The Merrymaker Sisters Original Savoury Bread (Paleo)

Ingredients

10 slice(s)

You will need:

  • 105 grams Carrot - roughly chopped
  • 8 eggs
  • 95 grams Butter - melted, (coconut oil works too)
  • 30 grams Coconut Flour
  • 45 grams Chia or Flaxseed
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Recipe's preparation

    What to do:
  1. Step 1:

    Preheat oven to 180 degrees and line a 20cm x 10cm loaf tin

    Step 2:

    Place carrot into mixing bowl and grate 5 seconds/speed 5Set carrot aside

  2. Step 3:

    Combine eggs and butter in mixing bowl and mix 30 seconds/speed 4

  3. Step 4:

    Add all other ingredients including grated carrot that has been set aside and mix 30 seconds/speed 3 or until well combined

  4. Step 5:

    Transfer mixture into a lined loaf tin and bake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes or until golden on top

  5. Step 6:

    Allow to cool for 20 minutes before slicing

  6. Step 7:

    Enjoy your bread and eat it too xxx

Tip

The Merrymaker Sisters original recipe inlcuded 1/4 cup mixed seeds in step 4, along with extra seeds sprinkled on top of the loaf before baking

    Yum yum yum - I had to add an extra 10 minutes to the cooking time, but probably just my oven.  It tasted a bit more like a quiche to me but was absolutely beautiful and I'll be making it again and again.
