Emma's Bread

Dough

  • 50 g Milk
  • 240 g water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 level tsp dried instant yeast, 3 for loaf & 4 for buns
  • 1 heaped tsp salt
  • 1 tablespoons oil
  • 520 g flour, Snowflake works best

Recipe's preparation

    Milk & Water
  1. Add 50g Milk & 240g Water.
    1 min/37°C/speed 2
    Make sure oven is on dough rise setting
  2. Add 2 Tbs Sugar
    3 tsp yeast (surebake) Loaf or 4 tsp yeast for buns
    1 1/2 tsp salt
    1 Tbs Oil
    5 sec/speed 5
    leave for 3 minutes untill frothy
  3. Add 520g Flour
    Dough Dough mode"Dough mode" / 6 min
  4. Rise in oven for 1 - 1 1/2 Hours
    Take bread out of oven and turn oven to 180 C Bake.
    Return bread to oven and cook @ 180 C for 13 minutes
    Rotate bread and turn oven down to 150 C
    place oven tray on rack above bread So it doesn't burn and cook for a futher 15 mins

Tip

Brush Bread with melted butter for extra flavour. Take bread out of tin immediatly after cooked and place on a cooling rack to stop soggy base.

Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
