thanks

Hi,

Water has got into my wife TM5.
I was adding ingredients and then I started to mix them. It made an unusual sound and temperature was changing itself: 40°, 37° 55° 65°. This could not be possible because my fruits were frozen. And then I found out that the knife was not assembled to the bowl and water ingressed to TM5. I directly stopped it. What can I do to get it dry? I'm in Congo... Can you please assist me? Thank you

my daughter has just done the same thing, went to cook porridge in without the blades in the machine.
It was on at the time.
I took the bowl out and put the blades in and began to try and cook the porridge again, not knowing what exactly she had done.
I now have a jug full of porridge mixture stuck in the thermomix as it will turn on and then immediately turn itself off and not release the jug.

Seems a very common fault.... Just about to get mine deliveried... I feel quite nervous, any hints for this not to happen?

hope everyone got these up and going again?

Hi, we have done exactly the same thing. 1 litre of water all over the place! We are bass in London in the UK. Could someone please call us from Support? Many thanks in advance

I'm in the same boat as everyone else except it was my housemate who didn't click the base back together and it was oil that got into the motor.I didn't realise until I got the error message that the blade wouldn't turn.

I currently have it upside down in my sink, terrible idea? Should I rest it on its base on a tea towel?

I don't know how long it has been since I have cried so hard! :((

I was making lemonade in my Thermomix and didnt realise the parts were diconnected. So 500ml of water was basically flowing out from the bottom. I quickly dried it and put it on its back for 2 days. The screen works, the arms work but when you twist the knob for it to actualy cut/mix etc. it comes up with ERROR: 32 "SHUTTING DOWN" etc. What do i do?! I don't know what is wrong, does it need to be fixed???  How much will it cost to get it fixed?

We got water in our thermomix, much like everyone else.

Please send some helpful tips our way to rectify this.

Hi Andrew

I had an issue with my thermy last year and the easiest solution was to find a consultant in your area as they can arrange to take it in for repairs for you and even deliver back to them.  I found this easier as I wasn't having to run around going to the post office especially if you are busy working.

Hope this helps.

Hi everyone

I'd so love to hear whether your TMs are OK again.

I did the same thing today (poured in water without having put in the blades) ... My TM seems to have survived, but I'm still worried problems may come up later.

I registered just to ask this question. I actually live in Germany, but didn't get any help in the forum there.

Hi, Thermomix contacted me and advised that they would arrange to have my machine collected and taken for service. Was supposed to be collected on Thursday and it still hasn't been collected and I will be charged for the repairs as it is my fault! A bit devastated, but looking forward to getting my repaired machine back in my kitchen!

Very interested to know how you got on, is your thermo working, hope it is OK

Ok, So my daughter didnt reassemble my bowl correctly prior to sitting it in the housing. Then I didnt check before pouring about 300g of milk through the bowl before realiing it was coming out the bottom! I too was told to leave the machine upright and let it dry out but it seems now that after 2 days (it worked fine yesterday) My touch screen is not allowing me to select anything at all! The centre bit which spins the blades wasnt spinning also as it seemed like it was almost crusted around it, but I have freed that up and it works now but not too sure about what to do with this screen. I dont want to go without my thermo Aw I use it everyday!!

Hi veggiedelights,

We have brought your post to the attention of our Service team. Please keep your TM5 in an upright position to drain and dry for 48 hours.

My husband did the same thing this morning but poured in milk and water, he read on the forums that some reps said to put it on its back to drain, then he contacted our rep who said not to do this? So we are a bit confused as to what to actually do.

Now we can see milk in the little circles where the red and green lights are. Have not turned it on yet. Really worried about this, as was said previously, it seems like such a basic design fault that you would think after 5 thermomix models and many years would not be an issue.

I unfortunately poured a cup,of water into my new (2week old) TM5 with no blade.. The water ran out. I turned it in its back and placed in the sun however now know that it shouldnt have put it on its side.

24 hours later it turns on but has error message C32. Any ideas and has  anyone done the same? Does it need longer to dry out and what does error message C32 mean. Really worried I have ruined ruined the machine and will have to pay a lot for repair. The Thermo  service centre is not open I assume due to the New Year break

cant believe such a sophisticated appliance has such a dimple design fault.

Any ideas appreciated!

I haven't got my thermo yet so perhaps I am jumping the gun, but the idea of it being able to get water inside the housing seems to be a common issue on various forums I have read. I'm not understanding how this happens, I can pour water over my food processor without drama and the kids often don't tighten up the jug on my blender causing it to leak and this does not cause an issue either, I wipe them down and keep using them. Neither of these are your basic appliance with one setting only. Yet the thermo I will have to put in a warm place and cross my fingers that I haven't killed it. I am becoming more convinced that this is a serious design flaw in either the blades when being removed leave a gaping hole or the housing assembly not being spill proof. Is it covered by warranty should it die as a result of this glaringly obvious oversight?
