Thanks I just came here with the same question. This is the first time I have made this as I only got my Thermomix 3 weeks ago. I am halfway through and I got pretty worried when I could not find where to put the cream of tartar. Phew!

Judy is right Katie...with the egg whites to help stabilise the whites. (Judy...when I need interstate testers, are you up for it??) hahaha
Cream of tartar is used to help stabilize egg whites and aid them in reaching maximum volume Katie so I would add it when whipping the whites .
I made the Lemon Meringue Pie from the EDC the other night (which was great). One error that I may have found in the recipe. The ingredients list calls for 1/4 tsp Cream of Tartar. The only issue is in the Method section, it is not listed when the cream of tartar is used.
I used mine whilst adding icing sugar & mixing - is this correct?
