Love

I'm ecstatic about the new Thermi - it's a bonus that my GF is very keen too & cooking up a storm

Trying my second soup, pumpkin, today on our brand new "Robot".  First one earlier this week was an adaptation of my favourite Moosewood Cookbook recipe for cauliflower soup which worked well - great for Winter lunches Smile

Making Red Onion Relish, one jar for me and one for my neighbour.  Gave her the veggie stock yesterday for exchange I got parsley and rosemary fresh from the garden.  Lovely.

I bought a box of red onions for $3.00 as well as a box of apples and one of tomatoes.  So making  apple sauce and also tomato sauce.  Buying bargains like this can save you heaps and have you cooking up a storm.  I also share some of these bargains with my daughter, who also owns a Thermomix and my neighbour.  On my own and as I am homeless I haven't got anywhere to store too much.  My Thermomix is a wonderful travel companion and I always leave some goodies for the owners of the home and pets I am caring for.  This sit is for three months so have been able to make the most of my bargain buys and cooking.

Now off to the op shop to buy some suitable jars to fill.

enjoy your lunch, I know I will, left over risotto from last night.

thanks for reading my first post.

Plate for lunch....rest off to the freezer. Toooo easy.

Hot, hot, hot here today - it's 35 degrees!!

Lunch is Kellsbells1977 Broccoli Salad which is just a bit more tasty than the EDC version, and Homemade Lemonade from the EDC.  Delicious all round! Smile

G'day! Just chopped heaps of veggies that would normally have taken forever in 3 seconds to make Canonese Wonton Soup

FANTASTIC!!

WHOO HOO!

Can you FEEL the excitement? :)Cheers! Joanne

G'day DAY 1 "officially" using a loaner ThermomixVeggie concentrate...GREAT success...Carrot & Coriander Soup....GREAT...with cheese scones for cooking with Jane video...made two batches...first batch...way too dry...user error lolsecond batch...tasted great but she used cheddar cheese, I used an Italian hard provolone mild and sensed it did not mix well enough...the mixture was crumbly and when I tried to ball it up...was just not happy with the recipe, but am open to ideas re whether the cheese affected the scone or do you think it was just the recipe...put the rind in as well and probably was not a good idea...Cheers! Joanne
