Easy Oreo Chocolate Balls

Ingredients

24 portion(s)

Filling

  • 1 package Oreo Cookies
  • 250 g Philadelphia Cream Cheese Block

Coating

  • 250 g Chocolate Melts or Buttons

Recipe's preparation

    Filling
  1. Allow the cream cheese to soften slightly

     

    Filling

    1. Mill the Oreo's speed 8 for 7-10 seconds


    2. Add the cream cheese, mix speed 4-5 until combined approx 15-20 seconds


    Set aside, rinse bowl

  2. Coating


    Add melting chocolate, crush speed 7 for 5 seconds, heat 3-5 mins/50°/speed 4 until melted.

     

  3. Preparing


    While chocolate is melting roll mixture into balls. Once chocolate has melted roll/coat in chocolate and refrigerate until set.

    shark78:i found that if i put a tooth pick or something like that in them and then put them in the fridge for 30 minuets then dip them in the chocolate then put in fridge again then pull the tooth pick out.does this help

    This is a great, simple recipe. I'm not a huge fan of coating things in chocolate (I just end up making a big mess) so I milled an extra packet of Oreos in step one and used the crumb to coat the balls - worked perfectly

    Try puting the mixture in the freezer for half an hour before rolling into balls.  Once you have made the balls put them back in the freezer on a tray for and hour or so.  Once frozen dip them into the melted chocolate using a couple of tooth picks or I use little cocktail forks.  I even leave them in the freezer once made.
