Recipe's preparation

    Plum Roll Up Mixture
  1. To the bowl, weigh 500g quartered plums
  2. Place the lid and Measuring Cup/Cap on

    Chop 10 sec / Speed 5.5
  3. To the bowl, weigh the remaining 500g of quartered plums
  4. To the bowl add 50g Sugar
  5. Place the lid and Measuring Cup/Cap on
    Chop 10 sec / Speed 5.5
Scrap the sides of the bowl
  6. Place the lid on the bowl and replace the measuring cup/cap with the Varoma dish (base only)

    Cook 15 min / 98 degrees / Speed 2.5
  7. Blend 30 seconds / Speed 6

Allow the mixture to cool slightly before pouring onto the ParaFlexx sheets or baking paper.
  8. Dehydrator Method
  9. Pour mixture onto 3-4 ParaFlexx sheets. Tap the tray to level out the mixture.

Set the dehydrator to 7 - 8 hours at 57 degrees

Rotate trays at the halfway mark. Check at the 7-hour mark.

Plum roll-up is ready when it can be easily peeled from the ParaFlexx sheets, and no wet fruit mixture remains. Do not overdehydrate.
  10. Oven Dehydration Method
  11. Pour mixture onto 3-4 Silicone mats or baking paper sheets, that are supported on trays. Tap the tray to even out the mixture. Set the oven at around 57 degrees/fan-forced (no greater than 60 degrees).

Dehydration time will depend on how efficiently the air moves through the oven and how thick you have applied the mixture onto the sheets. Expect it to take between 8-12 hrs.
  12. Finishing
  13. Once the roll-up mixture is ready, roll it up onto non-stick baking paper. Cut each round into 6 segments and, if desired, tie with a string to secure.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge. Keeps for several months.

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
