Recipe's preparation

    Preparing the chashni (syrup)
  1. 1. Add the water into the mixing bowl.

    2. Add the sugar.

    3. Place the simmering basket onto the mixing bowl lid.

    4. Prepare the syrup 7 min/Varoma/Speed 2.

    5. Empty the syrup in a container and keep warm.
  2. Preparing the atta (dough)
  3. 6. Clean and dry the mixing bowl.

    7. Add the cardamom to the mixing bowl and roast it 2 min/100 degrees/Speed 0.5. Set aside.

    8. Replace the mixing bowl, and add 50 g ghee into it. Reserve the other half.

    9. Cook the ghee 5 min/Varoma/Speed 2.

    10. Add the flour and replace the lid with the simmering basket onto it.

    11. Cook the flour in the ghee 7 min/Varoma/Speed 2.

    12. Add the reserved cardamom and continue cooking the flour.

    13. When the aroma of the cardamon and ghee emerge, add the syrup slowly while continuing to cook Varoma/Speed 2. You may need another 2 min or so here.

    14. Now add the milk and reserved ghee and cook reverse 7 min/Varoma/Speed 2 or until the mixture starts to come together.

    15. Transfer the mixture into a bowl, and garnish with slivered almonds (optional). Enjoy!

    Recipe is created for
    TM 6
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
