TM 5Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
Easy steps to follow
Place sugar in mixing bowl and mill for 10sec/sp 9
Place all remaining ingredients and cook 6 min/80 c/sp 4
Pour mixture into container (I use my Thermoserver), cover and place in freezer 4-6 hours
Place honeycomb in mixing bowl and Turbo 1 sec, if you're wanting smaller pieces then turbo in .5sec increments
Set aside. (if you leave it in there it will absorb into icecream completely)
Describe the preparation steps of your recipe
Remove from freezer and put mixture into mixing bowl 30sec/sp 9 then 10sec/sp 4
Add honeycomb back into the bowl and mix/5 sec/sp 2
Pour into an airtight container and put in freezer. I usually do this in the morning and then it's ready for dessert that night.
Accessories you need
To make it a bit more crunchy I also blitz up seperately some pear drops (from Allergy Train) and add those at the time I put the honeycomb back in.
*** The honeycomb may absorb into the ice-cream, so I usually sprinkle some left over Honeycomb over the top when serving ****
