Recipe's preparation

Super simple no bake MINT SLICE!
  1. 1. Place Marie biscuits into TM bowl. Crush on speed 4 with MC in (to stop crumbs from flying out) for 20 seconds.

    2. Add cocoa. Mix on speed 4 for a further 10 seconds. Pour biscuit/cocoa mix into a separate container/bowl.

    3. Place butter, peppermint chocolate (broken up into pieces) and condensed milk into the TM bowl. Melt on temp 70 degrees/ speed 2/ 4 minutes. Make sure mixture is smooth and runny.

    4. Add biscuit mix back into TM bowl and stir until thoroughly mixed through on speed 2 for 1 minute.

    5. Add peppermint essence and stir for a further 15-20 seconds.

    6. Pour mixture into lined slice tin and put aside.

    7. Clean out the TM bowl. Then break up the white chocolate and place in the TM bowl. Melt on 70 deg / speed 2/ for 4 minutes. Make sure white chocolate is smooth and runny. If you need to, add time to make sure your mix is very runny and smooth.

    8. Working quickly, pour the white chocolate over the base, covering the top completely.

    9. To add coloured swirls for decoration, add a few drops of green food colouring spread out around the top of the white chocolate and swirl through with a chopstick or skewer to make pretty patterns.

    10. Place in the fridge and allow to partially set. Remove from fridge, cut (easier to cut when not completely set) and place back in fridge ready to enjoy!

Tip

- You can adjust the amount of peppermint essence to taste depending on how strong you want the mint flavour to be.

- Best to cut the slice before it completely sets and gets hard.

- You may have to adjust the amount of white chocolate you use based on the size of your slice tin i.e. may need more chocolate if your tin is a wider/longer one with more area to cover.
