If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Peach Banana Ice-Cream
  1. Preparation of FROZEN FRUIT:

    Freeze chunks of banana.

Drain peaches (reserve juice; freeze in ice-cube trays for future use).

Place peaches on paper towel to dry a little more and cut in 2-3 pieces each.

Spread out in a shallow tray and freeze at least 4 hours.

  2. Make "ICE-CREAM":

Put frozen peach and banana chunks into TM bowl.

Mix for 10 Seconds on Speed 10.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl.

Mix for another 10 Seconds on Speed 10.

(Repeat for another 10-20 Seconds if required)

Add salt flakes and pepitas. Mix 10 Seconds on Speed 2.

Tip

Perfect light and fruity dessert after rich party food or to follow a summer BBQ.

Fruit can be frozen weeks in advance and stored in snap-lock bags.

Thanks to Nadia for the original Salted Banango Ice-cream recipe which I have adapted to be Nut-free (for friends) and mango free (for me).
