Thanks for making my recipe more 'healthy'. I actually use Rapadura sugar now and find it's so much nicer.

    MMMMM.. Yummo.

So moist!  I used muffin patty pans to cook in so no mess.  This recipe was really easy.  My caramel sauce ended up very runny, maybe I mucked something up, but it didn't matter because it was delicious.  I didn't add any extra suger; there was plenty.  Thanks tmrc_emoticons.)

    Submitted by stephanie.mastro11 on 3. March 2015 - 21:58.

Tastes great!! Definately needed the 25 minutes in the oven (I did the larger cake) the caramel sauce was amazing. Didnt need the extra sugar as the caramel sauce was sweet enough!! Had it with ice cream.

  • I didn't add any sugar,  it

    Submitted by ThermoMarn8 on 25. August 2014 - 17:14.

I didn't add any sugar,  it didn't need it! The dates are sweet enough for us. Instead of the sauce I made a cashew caramel sauce and the whole family loved it. This recipe is fantastic thanks so much!

Hi Julia. Is there supposed to be sugar in the cake mixture? It says to add sugar and butter.
    Thanks Kerry.

A lovely cake. The ingredients list is missing the amount of sugar to put in, so I had to take a guess.
