Variation on EDC traditional vanilla icecream

  • 500 g Milk, Skim or whole
  • 200 g raw sugar, The low GI type also works well
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla paste or essence

Recipe's preparation

  1. Follow the instructions as listed in EDC, ie put all ingredients in TMX, but cook for 8 minutes at 80 degrees, speed 4, place in glass jug.

    Cool in fridge until chilled. Place in freezer as described in EDC after putting in stainless steel bowl,, and use TMX to turn into ice cream

    I have an icecream maker, and do not do this step. I have found the double quantity works well. 

    Can add optional ingredients after cooking. I mix 100g cocoa on speed 4 at this step to convert into chocolate ice cream.

Watch out! This is usually eaten by hovering children before I have even removed the ice cream from the ice cream maker!
