White Christmas Hedgehog Slice (Woman's Day Recipe)

Ingredients

30 slice(s)

Base

  • 440 grams white chocolate
  • 90 grams cream
  • 170 grams mini oreo biscuits
  • 40 grams dried apricots, chopped
  • 75 grams Green glacé cherries
  • 55 grams dried cranberries

Chocolate Top

  • 220 grams dark chocolate
  • 60 grams cream

Recipe's preparation

    Base
  1. Lightly grease and line a baking tray (approx 18cm x 25cm). 

  2. Place white chocolate in TM Bowl and grate for 10 secs on speed 8. Scrap down sides of the bowl and repeat if necessary. 

  3. Add cream and melt for 3 mins, 50 degrees, speed 2. Ensure all chocolate is melted. 

  4. Add oreos, apricots, cherries and cranberries and mix on Counter-clockwise operation, 5 sec, Speed 3. 

  5. Spread mixture over pan and chill in the refridgerator for a minimum of 3 hours. 

  6. Chocolate Top
  7. Add dark chocolate to the TM bowl and grate for 10 secs on speed 8. 

  8. Add cream and melt for 3 mins, 50degrees, Speed 2. Ensure all chocolate is melted. 

  9. Spread topping over white chocolate base and place back in fridge to set. 

  10. Once set, use hot knife to cut into portions and serve cold.

Tip

Found in the 1st Dec issue of Woman's Day. Tweaked slightly for Thermomix and amount of ingredients I had on hand. 

Feel free to add other dried fruits or nuts.

    This is tasty- very sweet. But mine turned out more brown Christmas as I didn’t chop the Oreos first and needed to mix much longer. Maybe my mini Oreos were not mini enough?
