Mulled wine

  • 50-100 grams raw sugar, (to taste)
  • 250 gram water
  • 60 grams orange juice
  • 2 cinnamon quills
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 2 star anise
  • 2 cardamom pods, crushed
  • 3 pieces orange zest, (approx 5x 1.5 cm)
  • 1/4 teaspoons Nutmeg
  • 750 grams Dry Red Wine

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place all ingredients except wine into mixing bowl and cook 5 min/100°C/speed 1.
  2. Add wine and cook 7 min/80°C/speed 1.
  3. Strain through simmering basket into serving jug.
  4. Serve hot, garnished with orange slices and extra cinnamon quills if desired.
