- 525 grams white sugar
- 150 grams brown sugar
- 50 grams vanilla extract

TM 5Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
Put water, sugar and brown sugar in thermomix bowl cook for 40min/varoma/ measuring cup off.
add vanilla extract (you could probably add whatever flavour you would like at this point) and cook for further 5min/varoma/ measuring cup off.
allow to cool a little and pour into prepared 1lt glass bottle.
**store in the fridge in an airtight container should last two to three weeks. Freeze some if you can not use it all in that time or you could make less and adjust cooking time**
Depending on what flavouring you choose to use (if any can be made with just sugar and water) it can be used as a flavouring for hot drinks, yogurt, ice cream or pancake topping, to sweeten sauces or savoury meals also saw a recipe on the internet for homemade cream soda the uses are as endless as your imagination.
