Ingredients

Curried Prawns

  • 1 clove garlic, Chopped
  • 1 onion, Chopped
  • 1 stalk Celery, Hand Diced
  • 30 grams olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 250 grams water
  • 1.5 tablespoons plain flour
  • 175 grams frozen Peas, Corn & Carrot Mix
  • 250 grams raw peeled prawns
  • TM Steamed Rice

Recipe's preparation

    Curried Prawns
  1. Add garlic to bowl and mince for 3 Seconds, Speed 5.

    Add onion to bowl and chop 2-3 Seconds Speed 5.

    Add celery, peas, corn & carrot, sauté 5 Minutes, Varoma, Speed 1.

    Add water, curry powder, flour and cook for 5 Minutes, Varoma, Speed 1.

    Add prawns and cook for 5 Minutes, Varoma, speed 1.

    Ensure prawns are cooked through.

     

    Serve with TM steamed rice.

Tip

Cook rice and store in Thermoserve to keep warm until Prawns are cooked.

Fresh Peas, Corn & Carrots could be used.

Cook's notes

Oven temperatures are for conventional; if using fan-forced (convection), reduce the temperature by 20˚C.

We use Australian tablespoons and cups: 

1 teaspoon equals 5 ml; 

1 tablespoon equals 20 ml; 

1 cup equals 250 ml.

All herbs are fresh (unless specified) and cups are lightly packed.

All vegetables are medium size and peeled, unless specified.

 

All eggs are 55-60 g, unless specified.

    Made this tonight for hubby and myself - added 160 mls of coconut milk and reduced water. Nice flavour and quite a lot of sauce too
