  • 20 grams HOT AND SPICY PRAWN BLEND
  • 300 grams shelled prawns
  • 10 grams olive oil
  • fresh coriander, to serve
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, plus extra
  • warm water
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    HOT AND SPICY PRAWNS WITH FRIED HOKKIEN NOODLES
  1. HOT AND SPICY PRAWN BLEND is under Osram's recipe

     

    Add 1 teaspoon oil and 1 tablespoon of butter to 20g spice blend in TM bowl and heat 1 Minutes, 50C, Speed 1, or until warmed through to form a paste.

    In MC mix cornflour to 1 tablespoon of water. (optional)

    Add the prawns to the paste 7 Minutes, Varoma, Reverse, Speed .5, adding more butter and cornflour mix plus warm water to make a sauce (optional).

    Pour over Fried Hokkien Noodles.

     

    Sprinkle over some fresh coriander and serve.

  2. FRIED HOKKIEN NOODLES

    Chop garlic, 3 Seconds, Speed 7.

    Chop onions, 3 Seconds, Speed 4.

    Heat oil in a frypan with chopped onion & garlic (optional) and stir-fry together.

    Add fresh Hokkien Noodles and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.

     

    Stir well before serving.

Tip

Cook's notes

Oven temperatures are for conventional; if using fan-forced (convection), reduce the temperature by 20˚C.

We use Australian tablespoons and cups: 

1 teaspoon equals 5 ml; 

1 tablespoon equals 20 ml; 

1 cup equals 250 ml.

All herbs are fresh (unless specified) and cups are lightly packed.

All vegetables are medium size and peeled, unless specified.

All eggs are 55-60 g, unless specified.
