Ingredients

Steamed Fishballs and fragrant Tomato Sauce

  • 400 grams White Fish Fillets, Skinless, boneless and roughly chopped
  • 30 grams coriander, Leaves only
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon rind/Juice
  • 1 free range egg
  • 2 tbsp wholemeal breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 portion brown onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 10 grams fresh ginger
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut sugar
  • 400 grams tomatoes, Fresh or tinned chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 red capsicum

Recipe's preparation

    Fish Balls
  1. Place lemon rind in bowlBlend3secs, speed 8
    Add fish fillets and coriander Blend10secs, speed 8
    Add egg, turmeric, breadcrumbs & S&P Counter-clockwise operation5ecs, speed 6
    Roll into balls and rest in fridge until sauce is ready to be cooked.
  2. Fragrant tomato sauce

    In mixing bowl place onion, garlic & ginger Blend5secs, speed 8
    Scrape down sides.
    Add cumin, paprika and olive oil. 2mins Varoma, speed 2
    Add tomatoes, red peppers, tomato paste and coconut sugar, Blend8sec, speed 6
    Place balls onto both layers on Varoma, place into position and cook 17mins, Varoma, speed 2

    Once cooking time is up, take off Varoma and sit to rest. Check sauce for taste (may need a little sugar depending on sweetness of tomatoes or extra salt & pepper.

    Serve simply with boiled new potatoes or steamed rice and your favourite greens.
