For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Add Water, carrots and stock paste to the mixing bowl. Blend 1 min/speed9 MC on
- Cook for 10 minutes/100degrees/speed1 place simmering basket on mixing bowl lid
- Add mushroom, pasta, corn and coconut cream.
- Place the simmering basket on the mixing bowl lid. 10min/100 degrees/speed 1/reverse
- scrape down sides
- Cook 2min/100d/speed1/reverse
- Put into the thermoserver and let it sit for 5min then serve.
