Us adults thought it was an OK dish - but the kids loved it and that's all that really counts when it comes to cheap, quick and easy meals like this one.

Very simple dish to make. The recipe didn't state when to place the olive oil in the bowl so I just did it when I was sautéing the bacon. Also note that 6mins is not long enough to cook the pasta. I ended up putting on varoma temp for another 8mins so total of 14mins all up. Otherwise quite tasty.

Loved this dish! Didnt have tomato soup so used Legos bolognese sauce - delicious and solved any concerns about sweetness. Will make again

  • I didn't have any tomato soup

    Submitted by bekstar1980 on 2. September 2015 - 21:08.

I didn't have any tomato soup so substituted it for my homemade pasta sauce (I use the Andreas Pasta Sauce recipe on RC). I doubled the recipe so it would last a couple of nights (I have a house of teenagers who eat a lot!) but I left the bacon at 100g and the pasta sauce at 420g. It tasted AMAZING!!! My household aren't lovers of macaroni cheese but loved this! Wouldn't mind adding some chicken next time for something different. GREAT RECIPE, thanks!!

  • The tomato soup was much too

    Submitted by CinieCooking on 2. September 2015 - 11:28.

The tomato soup was much too sweet for us! Looking forward to trying the recipe again though using Tomato Passata rather than the soup. We doubled the bacon as well  :)

  • Loved the taste! My 10year

    Submitted by Rottiegirl on 5. May 2015 - 09:54.

Loved the taste! My 10year old went for seconds :-) I made it with Spaghetti as i ran out of macaroni, but still was nice. Would use less bread next time and crumb them before hand so they spread better over the top.

Delish, just added a clove of garlic to the onion when chopping and I didn't have tomato soup so just blitzed a tin of tom's, but i'm pretty sure this will be a favourite. You saved us from a night of toasted sandwiches :)

  • Absolutely delicious! I did

    Submitted by Hello2jen on 8. February 2015 - 19:39.

Absolutely delicious! I did cook the macaroni for 10 mins. I gather the olive oil was added with the onion and bacon, it didn't say.

  • I was initially a bit wary

    Submitted by Kirboxx on 6. February 2015 - 23:40.

I was initially a bit wary about the tomato soup but it was so delicious. I would probably cook the pasta in the first step for a few minutes more but other than that a great recipe.

    Submitted by AimeeS on 2. September 2014 - 19:49.

I regularly make this now! I do make it with a whole packet of cooked pasta which helps it stretch and makes lunch the next day. I've even made double mixture! Fantastic recipe!
