If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Tip

This is a good base recipe to build on and you can vary the ingredients to suit. You can add other vegetables - I sometimes add a handful of baby spinach just before blending at the end. You can also use other varieties of tomatoes.

    Deb65:

Sorry ... I missed your question! I use about a cup of herbs - predominantly parsley. Let me know how it goes. I make it all the time. Jo
