      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1.

    Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees.

Cook 200g pasta in saucepan. Drain and set aside in Thermosever.

Meanwhile place 80 g of parmesan cheese & parsley into mixing bowl and grate 5 sec/speed 9. Add 120 g tasty cheese to mixing bowl and grate 5 sec/speed 9. Set aside (this is for the mornay sauce).

Repeat steps with remaining cheeses and set aside in seperate bowl (this is for the topping).

  2. Place onion, garlic & butter into mixing bowl and chop 5 sec/speed 7.

    Saute 6 mins/Varoma/Speed 1.

  3. Add flour & milk and mix 4 sec/speed 5.

    Cook 6 mins/80 degrees/speed 4.

  4. Add corn & peas.

    Cook for 6 mins/80 degrees/Counter-clockwise operation/speed 1.

  5. Add all remaining ingredients including reserved cheese (batch 1) and stir through 5 sec/Counter-clockwise operation/speed 4. Cook for 2 mins/80 degrees/Counter-clockwise operation/speed 1.

  6.

Add tuna mornay to cooked pasta in Thermoserver and stir well.

Pour into baking dish and top with remaining cheese (batch 2).

Place in pre-heated oven for 20-25 minutes. Place under grill for extra golden look.

-red capsicum, an extra tin Tuna, capers and lemon zest and a sprinkle of panko breadcrumbs on top.
Gives it a bit more filling and zing.

Hi...it tastes great, but felt it needed more pasta for 6 portions and the sauce was too runny. I followed it to the letter..oh why? So maybe next time less milk, less lemon juice, more pasta and cook it for longer? Did anyone else experience this? I'll definitely make this again though. So easy and very yummy.
