      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Pre Heat Oven to 150 Degrees C

    Place Sugar in Bowl & Mill 20 seconds/Speed 9 to create a really fine sugar. Scrape down the sides of bowl.

    Add nuttlelex 10 seconds/Speed 6 it should be pale and fluffy.

    Add Flour & Corn Flour & mix 6 Seconds/Speed 6
    Scrape down the sides of the bowl & mix once more 6 Seconds/Speed 6

    Firmly press into a lined baking pan, prick dough all over with a fork & then bake at 150 Degrees for 50 mins or until slightly golden.

    Cut into desired shape while it's still warm & then allow to cool on a wire rack, sift over some fine sugar as well if you wish.

Tip

This mixture isn't really the type where you can roll it, so it's best to pack it will into a baking pan. You can also try forming a block and cutting slices. prick with a fork.
