For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Add garlic to the mixing bowl.
- Put lid on with measuring cup.
- Chop 3 seconds, speed 6.
- Add butter to the mixing bowl.
- Put lid on with simmering basket.
- Cook 2mins, 100 degrees, speed 1.
- Add mushrooms and season to taste.
- Put lid on with simmering basket.
- Mix speed 3, reverse speed 10.
- Cook 2 mins, 120 degrees, reverse, speed 0.5.
- Scrape down sides of mixing bowl.
- Add Cream.
- Put lid on with simmering basket.
- Cook 25 mins, Varoma®, reverse, speed 0.5.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
