      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. place butterfly stirrer into Closed lid and add the water, quinoa, chia seeds, cumquats and No counter-clockwise operation for 1 minutes on speed 2

let this stand for 10 minutes

then cook for 15 minutes on 100 degrees C at No counter-clockwise operation on speed 2

The mixture will  thicken on standing and if it gets too think while cooking just add water to ensure it stirs. Quinoa cooked this way isn't as fluffy but is perfect for this dish and the cumquats provide a perfect match for my Aromatic Thai Herb Chicken dish.

    Happy dinning!

Tip

Great replacement for rice dishes. This will thicken up upon standing so add water as required and fluff up with a fork.
