  • 10 grams fresh ginger root

  • 15 grams psyllium husks
  • 50 grams almond meal

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Mincing Paua and Making Fritter
  1. Slice the paua into 1 cm slices and then halve these.  Place in the Bowl and mince on speed 9 for appox 6 seconds.  Check consistancy and mince for further 1 -2 seconds if necessary. Remove from bowl and set aside.

     

    Clean the bowl

     

    Place garlic, peeled ginger, and red onion into bowl.  10 seconds, speed 5.  Scape down sides. 

     

    Add minced paua to the bowl, 1 egg, almond meal and psyllium husks, salt and pepper.  mix 20 seonds, speed 4.5 Counter-clockwise operation

     

    Take a large tablespoon full and make into fritter shape.  Cook in a hot pan until cooked on one side and then flip to the other side.  This should only take a minute or so.

     

    Serve with a wedge of lemon.
