Dough

  • 300 grams self rasing flour
  • 200 grams grated cheese of choice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 heaped teaspoon fresh or dried herbs to taste eg basil, thyme, rosemary 1
  • 1 pinch paprika
  • 50 - 100 grams Milk

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Dough
  1. Heat oven to 180 deg

    line tray with baking paper 

    Add to TM bowl, flour herbs and paprika 

    mix 6 sec speed 5

    add eggs and cheese

    mix 30 seconds Counter-clockwise operation speed 3 or until dough starts to come together 

    Add 20 Gm milk

    Dough mode for 30 secs adding milk if needed to firm correct consistency 

    turn onto lightly floured  thermomat or floured board 

    cut into 12 scones

    place on tray

    brush with remaining milk

    bake in preheated oven for approx 15 mins or until golden 

    serve with butter
