  • 1000 grams potato, Cut into chunks
  • 1 onion, Cut in half
  • 3 slices short cut bacon, Cut into 1/4s
  • 50 grams Butter
  • 10 grams olive oil
  • 250 grams chicken stock
  • 100 grams Milk
  • 125 grams Philadelphia cream cheese, Cut into squares
  • 1 pinch Freshly Ground rock salt
  • 2 pinches Freshly ground black pepper

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Soup
  1. place butter and olive oil in bowl and melt 98 deg Spd 1.5 3 mins

  2. add bacon and onion and chop 7 seconds Spd 5

  3. Scrape side of bowl

  4. cook 100 deg Spd 1.5 fir 5 mins MC on

  5. Add potato, chicken stock and milk, salt and pepper, cook 100 deg so 2 15 mins or until potato is breaking up 

  6. add Philadelphia Cream Cheese cook 2 mins sp 2 98 deg

  7. blend at so 7 until desired consistency is achieved - add additional mild if needed 

  8. serve immediately with fresh crusty bread
