  • 250 g white sugar
  • 250 g bakers flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 100 g dark chocolate bits
  • 110 g whole almonds

Recipe's preparation

  1. Mill the sugar on speed 9 for 10 seconds and heat the oven to 180 celsius.

    2. Add the flour, eggs, vanilla extract and baking powder. Beat on speed 5 for 20 seconds.

    3. Remove from the bowl and flatten onto a floured board. It is a very sticky mixture so floured hands work better.

    4. Add the chocolate bits and almonds and mix in by hand till evenly distributed in the mix.

    5. Form into a rectacngle of 12 x 35cm. Place this on baking paper then into the oven for 25 minutes.

    6. Remove from the oven and cool. Slice at 2cm intervals and place these slices on another piece of baking paper on an oven tray. Reduce the oven temp to 130 celsius and bake for 15 minutes. 

    7. Turn off oven and leave for another 15 minutes. They should be nice and crisp!
