Chorizo Baked Beans

  • 1 brown onion, quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 20 g extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • to taste ground black pepper
  • 800 grams canned cannellini beans, drained & rinsed
  • 400 grams Canned crushed tomatoes
  • 170 grams water
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 chorizo, diced into bite sized pieces
  • 20 grams Maple Syrup, pure
  • 20 grams Worcestershire sauce

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place onion & garlic & in TM bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 6. Scrape down sides of bowl.
  2. Add oil and cook 5 mins/100 degrees/speed 1. MC off.
  3. Add remaining ingredients, except the beans, and cook 15 mins/Varoma/speed 1. MC off with simmering basket on lid.
  4. Add the beans and cook for further 3 mins/100 degrees/speed 1. MC off with simmering basket on lid.
