The whole family loved this dish. This will become a regular dish in our house hold.

This is AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. The only thing that mine needs is a bit more salt but it's only because I usually don't add much when cooking.

This was delicious. I used a little less juice and shredded it for only 4 seconds but I think it only needed perhaps 2 seconds. Apart from that, the flavour was delicious and much nicer than regular mince in tacos. I will definitely make this again.

Delicious!!

Really delicious recipe that was a hit with everyone. I used a red chilli so it wasn't too hot and used rump stump. Only shredded meat for 4 seconds and it was perfect. Will definitely make this again.

I'm cooking it as we speak, and I coated the beef with the spices, I hope that's right, fingers crossed.

We won't have mince in our burritos or tacos afree trying this recipe! It's a huge winner with the hubby. I omit the chilli and coriander due to personal tastes. A regular for us now. I also only blitzed for 4 seconds but it depends on the cut of meat I use. Thanks for a great go-to!

Perfect. Would have gone back for seconds if there was any left! Used a red instead of green chilli so didn't find it too hot, and 4 seconds to shred as per previous comments.

Super easy and divine. Looks a bit like dogfood  Wink but it was absolutely amazingly yummy. I froze the leftover stock for a soup for another day.

Wonderful recipe!  Thank you so much.

Great recipe.  I doubled it.  Cooked half first, then put it in a pan on low, cooked the next half, then blitzed them together. I too found 4 seconds to be plenty.

Wow!!! This is so tasty and easy!!! A definite 'make-again'! Five stars! I shredded the beef for 4 seconds and it was perfect! We used it for nachos. Thanks so much for sharing! I would love to see more of your Mexican recipes!

It wasn't clear to me that the stock needed to be kept when strained (Step 7) so the meat was a little dry but the flavours were great and can't wait to make again - remembering to reserve the stock this time!

This is amazing I make it every second week !!!!

Thank you for this recipe. Made this last night it was really good in a large crispy rosti with fresh salad. I have leftovers so I'm hoping the richness of flavours will develop.

Nice, but not as rich as I hoped. Flavours developed overnight, leftovers much tastier the next day!! Wink

This is delicious. I prepared it all in the thermie then chucked it in the slow cooker so that it cooked in the liquid. Once cooked, I popped it back into thermie to shred for 4 seconds. The whole family loved this one. Great recipe.

Hi melanie

do you think you could double the batch for this or is TM quite full already?

thank you Smile

Really yummy! Will definitely make again. I used Porterhouse steak and only shredded beef for 4secs after reading other comments. I don't think I could go back to normal mince taco's now. Thanks for sharing!

Yum! Kids adored it, I'm a brand new owner of the TM31 and I managed! Hubby topped with hot sauce so was happy as I skipped the chilli. Had to blitz the seeds a little but did shred for the full 8secs Smile

Fantastic dish.

The whole family loved it!

Coat the diced beef with the spices. Yum!

Fantastic recipe! The strained stock has such great flavour I froze it to use another time. I used rump steak and cooked for 20 mins. Smile

Great dish, though do I assume that i add the spices to the TMB when I add the stock?

We've been spending over $50 for takeaway shredded beef burritos from a well known Mexican restaurant. This is why I bought and love my Thermy. Taste better, know what's in the meat and at a fraction of the cost. Thanks so much for sharing. Delicious!

Which type of steak is best?

Brilliant everyone loved it

Delicious!! Thank you for providing a recipe that ticks all the boxes for us Smile

I didn't add chilli as my hubby isn't a fan of very spicy food. I also added a tsp of TM veg stock concentrate in the final shredding stage with the tomato paste.

This is is our new go-to for burritos and tacos! Thanks again :)

This was delicious and loved by the whole family. I did however, take the adviof to the other reviews and only shredded for 4 seconds and it was perfect.

Amazing Amazing Amazing ....... so good.  We eat Burritos at least once a fortnight, this recipe is so much tastier than the supermarket spice packet.  I followed the entire recipe, however I only shredded the beef for 6 seconds.  THIS IS A MUST TRY RECIPE.  Yum, thank you for the recipe.

Really great - also only shredded the beef for 4 seconds and it was perfect. I also mixed in a can of kidney beans at the end just for some extra goodness. Thanks for a great and super fast recipe.

This is our favourite! Goes really well with chicken too  Smile

Awesome! My 6 year old who has an aversion to meat ate this very happily. Smile Cheers!! (I omitted the chilli to make it kid friendly, and just added medium old el paso taco sauce to my husband and I's tacos for more heat for us adults). So nice to get a recipe that isn't tomato based. THANKYOU! Smile

what's the best type of beef to use? could i use rump steak for this?
