Asian Summer Salad

1cm fresh ginger
1 cloves garlic
1 strip orange rind (3 cm)
15 ml apple cider vinegar
15 ml sesame oil
1/2 orange, peel removed
1/4 small red onion
2 large carrots, peeled and cut into 2 cm pieces
300 g Cabbage, cut into pieces

To Garnish

30 ml Sesame Seeds, Roasted (optional)

  For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

Place ginger, garlic and orange rind into TM bowl

. Chop 5 secs/speed 7.

Add remaining ingredients. Chop 3 secs/speed 4. With TM Spatula, scrape down sides. Chop a further 3 secs/speed 4.

Place in a serving bowl and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

• Replace onion with chives
• Salad is best served a few hours later to allow flavors to mingle.
• Wonderful served in a wrap with tahini and steamed chicken.
