- 500 grams of top quality beef mince
- 1 onion, peeled and quartered
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled
- 20 grams of olive oil
- 100 grams of mushrooms, sliced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 stalk of celery, diced
- 1 Cup of Frozen Peas
- 400 gram tin of diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup of water OR stock, red wine, I used red wine
- 1 heaped tablespoon of tomato paste
- 1 level teaspoon of dried sage leaves
- 2 level tablespoons of corn flour mixed with a little water to make a paste

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
Add onion and garlic to bowl - chop 4 seconds speed 5, scrape down bowl
Add oil and cook 4 minutes,100 degrees speed 1 - mc off
Add mushrooms, carrot, celery, tin tomatoes, tomato paste, wine or stock, sage and mince - cook 20 minutes, 100 degrees reverse, speed 1 - basket on top ---- stir with saputula occassionaly untill contents are reduced from cooking
Add the cup of frozen peas and the cornflour stiring with spatula as you put it in - cook 3 minutes, 100 degrees reverse, spoon
If you are using a pie maker you will need 9 sheets of puff pastry as each sheet will yield 2 pies to do this I use a bowl measuring 11.5cm across to cut the shapes
This filling would also be delicious with either sweet potato mash or normal mashed potato
