For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Directions
  1. Add onion and garlic to mixer bowl. Chop for 3 sec/speed6/MC on. Scrape bowl down.

Add Olive oil and cook 4 min/100/speed1/MC off.

Add Water,Beef stock, tomato paste, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, vegemite and pepper into mixing bowl. Insert simmering basket with mince meat inside. Cook 9 min/steaming temp/speed3/MC on.

Carefully breakup mince with a spoon and continue to cook 8 min/steaming temp/speed3/MC on.

Set aside simmering basket with the mince.
Add cornflour (and curry powder if you want) to the gravy in the bowl. Blend for 10 sec/speed4/MC on.

Add mince and (chopped mushrooms plus 2 teaspoon onion powder if you want) and combine on speed 3 until mince is broken up and mixed through gravy.

I made one batch with the added curry powder and another batch with the mushrooms and onion powder.

I do mine in a Pie maker with store bought shortcurst pastry for base and puff pastry for top but could make your own.
