Love love love this recipe it would have to be the easiest and tastiest cake I have cooked in my thermo!
I use muffin patty pans instead of doing a whole cake.
I have cut the sugar down to 150gm and I add poppy seeds.
    Delicious thanks

Very tasty fluffy with a nice balance of orange flavor. I used an organic orange and added to the batter some TM/homemade vanilla sugar. The cake is moist and stays fresh when covered with a chocolate glaze. We served the cake with some whipped cream where a tsp of Cointreau gave the entire desert a festive look and feeling. Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe.

Delicious! I 'top & tail'ed the orange but left the rest of the skin on. It wasn't a particularly big orange (& I had read the comments about it being dry & crumbly) so I added the flesh of a lime also (would have used 1/2 a lemon but didn't have one). I reduced the sugar to 150g and added a splash of milk as the mix still seemed a bit dry. Baked as 12 cupcakes - very light & moist. Perfect!

The recipe was easy to follow but I found the cake very crumbly and a bit of a bitter taste i think due to the quantity of peel to juice - sorry not one I will make again

Really tasty but pretty dry/ crumbly, def need some icing tmrc_emoticons.;)

As per other comments - perhaps due to individual ovens.

Cake was a little too crumbly, but perhaps it's bc of my oven. Next time I will decrease the oven temp slightly to avoid drying out the cake. Great taste though.

Really liked this, thank you. I took most of the pith off, added a good splash of milk (probably 50g) and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. No icing or other topping necessary in my opinion. Took 60 minutes in my older oven.

Great, simple recipe. I used 3 small mandarins instead of an orange, reduced the sugar to 130g and added a bit of vanilla extract and a dash of almond milk (the batter looked a bit dry). I made muffins which took 20-25 mins to cook. Next time I'll add poppyseeds and I might try reducing the butter a bit too, 225g is a lot!
