Recipe is created for
TM 5Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
Add almonds, cacao powder, schredded coconut, coconut oil, chia seeds and protein powder (if using) into the TM bowl. Mix on speed 8 for 10 seconds until combined.
Add dates to the mixture in TM bowl. Mix on speed 8 for 10 seconds until combined. If the mixture is too dry, add a Tbs filtered water or more coconut oil.
Let mixture rest for 10 minutes.
Use spatula to scrape out all of the mixture into a bowl. Then roll mixture into bite sized balls (should make approx 16)
Roll the balls into extra shredded coconut. Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
Accessories you need
Optional: Had 1-2 scoops of your favourite protein powder to the mix (sometimes you'll need to add a Tbs filtered water or a drizzle more coconut oil if it becomes too dry)
I usually use organic ingredients from Flannerys, however this is not necessary.
Have extra shredded coconut to roll balls in at the end
Delicious dairy free and gluten free treat
Great to keep in the freezer for weeks !
