      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add almonds, cacao powder, schredded coconut, coconut oil, chia seeds and protein powder (if using) into the TM bowl. Mix Counter-clockwise operation on speed 8 for 10 seconds until combined.

Add dates to the mixture in TM bowl. Mix Counter-clockwise operation on speed 8 for 10 seconds until combined. If the mixture is too dry, add a Tbs filtered water or more coconut oil.

Let mixture rest for 10 minutes.

Use spatula to scrape out all of the mixture into a bowl. Then roll mixture into bite sized balls (should make approx 16)

Roll the balls into extra shredded coconut. Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.

Tip

Optional: Had 1-2 scoops of your favourite protein powder to the mix (sometimes you'll need to add a Tbs filtered water or a drizzle more coconut oil if it becomes too dry)

I usually use organic ingredients from Flannerys, however this is not necessary.

Have extra shredded coconut to roll balls in at the end

Delicious dairy free and gluten free treat

Great to keep in the freezer for weeks !
