If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
Line 23cm cake tin with baking paper.
Preheat oven to 180C.
Place 120g butter and 240g brown sugar in bowl, mix 10 seconds speed 5, scrape down bowl, mix 5 seconds speed 5.
Place creamed butter & sugar in a layer on the bottom of the cake tin.
Place slices of green apple on top of the creamed butter & sugar.
Place 145g butter, 165g castor sugar, 3 eggs, 1 tbsp baking powder, pinch salt, 220g plain flour, 1 tsp vanilla extract in bowl, mix 20 seconds, speed 6.
Pour cake batter into baking tin on top of apple & creamed brown sugar + butter, bake 35 minutes 180C.
Allow to cool slightly & then turn out onto a cooling rack.
