For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Turn on oven to 170 degrees, fanforced, line (or greese) a 27cm x 18cm (11 x 7 inch) slab tin

    2. If using fruit that needs chopping, put in TM bowl speed 7, 3 seconds (I like about 100g of apricots/dates, then about 100g currants/sultanas but 200ish gram total of what you like) Set aside.

    3. Put butter, golden sryup and raw sugar in TM bowl, cook for 3mins, 60 degree, speed 1

    4. Add wholemeal flour, coconut, fruit and egg

    5. Mix for 3 seconds, speed 4. Press into lined tin

    6. Cook for 20-25 mins or until golden, cut into squares whilst warm
