  • 220 grams caster sugar
  • 1 Cup water
  • pinch bicarb soda
  • 200 grams Butter, Cubed
  • 3 eggs
  • 350 grams SR flour
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Paste

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place the dates in the Closed lid and turbo until chopped roughly
  2. Add the water, Bicarb soda, butter & sugar. Heat for 4min 100 deg Gentle stir setting
  3. Add eggs & vanilla, speed 3 while machine is running
  4. Add flour and mix 15 sec speed 8
  5. Line a large loaf tin with bake paper, have the oven pre heated to 180 deg, bake for 55-65 min or until a skewer comes out clean.
