Brandy Truffles

  • 1pkt Malt or wine biscuits
  • 45g cocoa
  • 310g icing sugar, made in Thermomix
  • 80g Coconut
  • 200g soft butter
  • 4 tbsp brandy
  • 2tsps vanilla
  • extra coconut, choc hail, or chopped nuts, pistachio for coating

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Crumb biscuits in TM,Closed lid 5 secs sp7 until finely ground.

    Weigh in icing sugar, butter and coconut, brandy and vanilla.


    Mix 10 secs, sp7 until all ingredients are mixed.

    Knead 1 min Dough mode

    Form into small balls with wet hands, then roll in extra coconut, chopped pistachios or chocolate hail. Arrange on a tray and refrigerate until firm. Store in airtight container in fridge.

Tip

Add extra brandy if mixture will not stick together to form balls, or extra coconut if mixture is too wet.

Also good with ginger biscuits as the base.
