Caramel Slice

Ingredients

24 piece(s)

Base

  • 125 g Butter
  • 90 g Coconut
  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 150 g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Caramel

  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 30 g Butter
  • 50 g golden syrup

Chocolate Topping

  • 125 g dark chocolate
  • 30 g Butter

Recipe's preparation

    Base
  1. Preheat oven to 180C

    Line 20cm x 30cm baking tin with baking paper

    Place all ingredients in bowl and mix 10 sec, Sp 6

    Push mixture into tin and cook for 15-20min until golden
  2. Caramel
  3. While base is cooking, place all caramel ingredients into bowl (don't worry about rinsing bowl) and cook for 10 min, 90C, Sp 3

    Pour over cooked base & cook for a further 10 min
  4. Chocolate Topping
  5. Break chocolate into pieces and put into bowl with the butter and melt for 4min, 50C, Sp3.


    Cool slice completely then smooth chocolate over and refrigerate till set.
