Choc Chip Cookies 'family recipe'

  • 125 g Butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 120 g white sugar
  • 45 g brown sugar
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 250 g plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Bi-carb soda
  • 200 g Choc Chip Bits (sml)

Recipe's preparation

    Method-
  1. Pre-heat oven to 190 degrees Fan forced oven. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper and set aside.


    Place butter, vanilla essence and sugars into TM bowl. Cream together for 8 sec, sp 6.


    Add lightly beaten egg to TM bowl, combine 10 sec, sp 3.


    Add flour, salt and bi-carb soda to bowl and combine 25 sec, sp 4 (scrape down sides with spatula as needed)


    Add choc bits and mix 10 sec/counter-clockwise operation/sp3.


    Roll teaspoon size portions of mix into balls and place on baking trays, flatten slightly with fingers. Ensure spaces between biscuits to allow for  spread.


    Bake for 10-12 mins or until light golden brown colour.


    Remove from oven and allow to cool for 5 mins, transfer to wire rack to continue cooling. serve warm or cool. Place remaining cookies into airtight container and store.

I tipped combined batter into a plastic bowl to allow ease of use when rolling batter into balls..

    Very nice, perfect amount of sweetness. The oven temp stated was far too hot for my oven. My biscuits cooked better at 160 fan forced for 15 mins. Thanks for sharing.Cooking 7
