- 230 grams Digestive or nice biscuits
- 230 grams Dates (pitted)
- 115 grams softened butter
- 115 grams caster sugar
- 2 teaspoons Drinking chocolate
- 60 grams Desiccated Coconut
- 1 egg
- 220 grams favourite Chocolate, one block

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
Place biscuits in bowl. Chop 10secs/speed 10-set aside
Place dates, butter and sugar in bowl. Chop 10secs/ speed 8. Scrape down sides with spatula
Cook 6mins /100degrees /speed 3, until ingredients are dissolved and form a paste.
Add drinking choocolate, coconut and biscuits to bowl.
Mix 20 secs/speed7. While blades are moving add egg.
Spread into a lined or silicon container (approx23cm x 15cm)
Quickly wash bowl and dry.
Break chocolate into bowl. Grate 10 secs/speed 8. Scrape down sides of bowl.
Melt chocolate 2mins / 50 degrees/ speed3
Spread over slice and refrigerate.
Remove from tin and cut into squares and share!!

I'm currently using the GF Arnotts Scott Finger biscuits (170gm). I do 2 packets and all other ingredients x 1.7 - Great GF recipe this way.

This is a delicious slice.
This is a delicious slice. Have made it a few times. Need to be sure the sugar has dissolved otherwise there are crunchy sugar bits. I now mill the raw sugar before adding it.
